Great week six, of my first transfer here in Gallegos. This was my companions last week here after six months and Elder Mancia`s last week in the mission, so we took it a bit easy. Mostly spent time visiting a lot of members and taking pictures and packing bags. My new companion is from Buenos Aries I think, he will be here on Wednesday.
Super excited to start this next transfer. We have two really cool families that we are visiting and with a few miracles I think some really cool stuff could happen. Also excited to find some more people in the Cemetery to introduce to family history, I love going to the class because I can look at my own stuff too. A few weeks ago we talked to one guy that seemed interested so we got to stop by the class and I actually found some more names to do when I get home. Family history is super cool and it is a great way to share the gospel.
So if you have heard anything about the flooding, its bad. If you haven`t heard anything about the flooding, there is flooding and its bad. Luckily not here but this transfer was super complicated due to washed out highways and stuff. My companion, who would normally be taking like a 16 hour bus ride up North is having to take a plane today haha. My new comp is just coming down from Comodoro and from here to there the roads are at least open.
I have been thinking a lot about something that I believe Elder Uchtdorf said in conference when he spoke on Charity. "The people who are the hardest to love are the ones who need it the most" I have thought about that as I have been trying to forget myself a little more and love everyone. I know this is true and I know we can find so much happiness in forgetting our own needs and losing ourselves serving others.
"And thus we can behold how false, and also the unsteadiness of the hearts of the children of men; yea, we can see that the Lord in his great infinite goodness doth bless and prosper those who put their trust in him." Helaman 12:1
