Feliz fiestas
Had a pretty great week here. The times where we weren´t sharing a Christmas thought with someone, at a members house for dinner or a party, or in Comodoro with half the mission, we were just working and enjoying the time when everyone was at home with their families. It was a good time to find people all together and a little more receptive and willing to listen. I am super grateful I was able to be a missionary for this Christmas. There is something about not thinking about anything but our Savior and the people who He loves so much, that really has changed my Christmas for the rest of my life. We had a cool zone conference thing in Comodoro on Thursday night where we made some plans to make some changes in the mission and ¨explode the Patagonia¨ like President says. I really think it´s going to be awesome and I am stoked to get going. Then after we had an awesome dinner and just took funny videos and stuff. The 24th we spent most of the evening with our really good friends Julio and Gimene. We played Jenga haha it was so funny I will send the video next week. They made some dang good food and we watched fireworks and the movie Risen. The 25th we went to church for an hour then we slept for like most of the afternoon. After that we just went out and knocked doors and shared the rest of our ¨Ilumina el mundo¨ cards and talked to whoever would listen about the birth of our Savior and what it means to us as children of our Heavenly Father. Super fun to talk to my family, the time has gone by so fast I feel like I honestly just left my house yesterday! I am so grateful to have so much and feel so much support. I know the mission is something so sacred and it has eternal significance for us and the people we find and teach. I am going to make the most out of this next year and do absolutely everything I can to find the people whom the Lord sent me here to find. I have such a strong testimony of our Savior´s love and our Father´s plan for us. I hope that as the new year begins, we can all commit to do the little things every day that bring us closer to them and make us more worthy of their love. ¨For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well as times of old, as in times to come; wherefore the course of the Lord is one eternal round.¨ 1 Nephi 10:19 ¨And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure to the end they shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting Kingdom of the Lamb.¨ 1 Nephi 13:37 ¨...And thus we see that by small means the Lord can bring about great things.¨ 1 Nephi 16:29 with love Elder Hollingsworth
