Our skype took place on Mondy December 26th at 4:00 PM. It was so awesome to see Elder Hollingsworth and hear him talking. He answered a ton of questions we had about the culture and the church in Argentina. He is feeling really good about his language skills and is so thankful for his first companion that helped him get to this point. He wa able to bear his testimony to us and then he emailed it in english. I will post it here so you can read the english version. He did have a hard time finding English words especially at first.
Just wanted to say what I said in Castellano, that even though it seems like its kinda tough here, that I am really here for a purpose, that life is really short and for me to be here its the most important thing I could be doing, and I wouldn´t rather be anywhere else, that I have such a strong testimony of the gospel and I hope that you guys can not take it for granted that you have it so easily, but that you can try to come closer to your Savior like I have, and that you can really see why I am here, that I have to find the people that I was sent to find even if there is only one. That people don´t know they can be forgiven and they don´t know of the joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they dont know they can be with their families forever and I have the privilege of bringing that to them. I hope you can make the small changes that will enable us to be together after this life, I am always praying and thinking of you.
I asked him if the call made him sad and this was his answer:
I feel like I just left! And like tomorrow it will be Mothers day thats how fast time goes here for me. I don´t have time to be sad when I am telling people with no hope they can be forgiven of their sins and live with their families forever, you can´t not say that every day and be happy.
love you mom
