This week it was like way cold for a sec and then super windy and way hot! Literally Saturday I probably developed melanoma. Just a nice big hole in the ozone layer down here nothing too bad.
A way cool guy named Daniel just showed up a church yesterday. He´s way nice and we had a cool gospel principles class with him and Carla and Leo and our Stake President. They are getting married the 9th of February, and she´ll be baptized the 10th. The other day we tried this thing that was way sick. I hid our dvd player (one of those massive bricks) in my bible cover and we carried that around showing people this two-minute video about Jesus called ¨Gracias a El¨ it was awesome. ( ipad missionaries are so lucky) A ton of people let us show them the video and we found some cool people. Also this funny girl from the Dominican Republic, she lives in another area though. Over all a good week, had some really good pizza last night with the second counselor in the bishopric, the guy is a boss. Literally does not know how to read, all he does is run marathons and serve others. Complete boss. Our Heavenly Father expects a lot of us, He has blessed us immensely and always provides a way to help us keep his commandments. Our spiritual progression in this life goes way more beyond saying a blessing over the food when the family is together, and going to church once or twice a month. I am so grateful to be the Lord´s servant and to be in constant communication with Him. I know He lives and loves you. ¨Let us not be content with where we are, but neither let us be discouraged¨ Elder D. Todd Christofferson

I don´t have a lot to say about our area due to the fact we were in Comodoro for three days and that we had meetings all day yesterday. It has been super windy and kinda cold but today pretty warm. I can´t believe it´s already almost December. Leo and Carla are getting a date for their wedding tomorrow! They said for January so we will see what happens. Teaching them is the best because they understand super well and they are literally our age.
We are trying to organize a few ward and stake activities for light the world. If we can get a lot of support it could be super sick. Last year in Buenos Aires, they had this thing with music, and a ton of stuff for Christmas, and they let all these balloons go with the cards attached to them. It would be sick to do something like that so we will see what happens. I´m stoked for Christmas and for 2018. I am so grateful to be on a mission right now and I learn so much every day through other people and the Spirit. Produce para siempre. Elder Hollingsworth Ahí está
I celebrated my birthday just how I wanted to, preaching the Gospel and eating lots of food. We taught Leo and Carla a bunch this week and she made me an ice cream cake on Friday. Then right after we went to Antipans and had chorizo and chicken and salad and potatoes and then a massive way good other cake. Good times had by all. Thanks to everyone that put cards and stuff in the package my mom sent it was the best ever getting that! Ok best story ever. Tuesday morning we were walking outside this apartment complex in our area and we passed this lady on the sidewalk. I tried to give her one of the cards we use to contact people the one from easter that just has Jesus on it. She rejected it and began to explain her beliefs and how she already has God in her heart and a bunch of stuff. (typical contact by the way) and so we are just listening to her go off for a sec and then things took a turn haha. She starts explaining that she has been going to her church for many years and that she often comes to this apartment complex to cast the demons out of the youth. She claims we all have the authority and that it is necessary because of the drugs and other activities that have taken over the youth of this apartment complex hahahaha. She´s all, ¨because, we all have the authority right?¨ but she wasn´t asking a question she was just wanting an agreement. I said ¨no¨ haha and she was like ¨no?¨ haha then Elder Ekblad explained the Priesthood authority and she got all mad and literally yelled at us saying ¨sal de este cuerpo!¨ ¨sal de este cuerpo!¨ which means like she was commanding a demon to leave our bodies hahahah and she´s all like making these crazy motions with her hands, I was so startled. After that she let me give her the card so its all good haha. ¨God´s opportunity is man´s extremity¨ -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland Elder Hollingsworth Week 6 and lots of stuff to do to get ready for transfers. The Zone is changing around a bit and I´m stoked for this transfer! Elder Whiting from my group and Elder Revilla from Gallegos are going to be companions and our district is us four.
Honestly sickest thing yesterday. Leonardo and Carla asked Elder Ekblad and I to name and bless their children in sacrament meeting. Legit. So sick. My comp blessed Ian who´s like 1 and I blessed Miqueas the little baby. Haha I was just holding the little guy and he was just chilling looking up at me like ¨what the heck.¨ Haha it was a really cool experience. We had a family night with them this week and this other family and they are just super pumped and want to go to the temple to be sealed for time and all eternity!!! Alan received the Aaronic Priesthood yesterday and is getting ready to go to the temple and do baptisms for the dead the first week of December. He´s going with his friend who´s basically his cousin another recent convert from August. I cannot believe it´s already November I don´t know where the mission has gone but I´m loving it. Thank you for all of the Birthday wishes! I am just hoping for an awesome cake! Elder Hollingsworth |
