Good morning everyone!
Alberto got baptized on Saturday! One of his friends from work, who happens to be our Elders Quorum President was able to baptize him. A really good experience for the ward. He was super excited all week and passed his interview with flying colors. He invited all his family and one of his daughters came with her kids to support him which was really cool. He´s already doing missionary work and wants to go visit people with us this week haha. During the baptism, neither the quorum president or Beto can sing good at all, and they were both singing super loud haha it was great. When we confirmed him yesterday he was super emotional and it was a special sacrament meeting. We are working a lot with the priests in the ward and the returned missionaries. Its basically just like a big group of bros on Sunday haha its great. We try to get them excited to serve missions and learn what it takes. We were able to get a 15 year old kid we are teaching to church yesterday too thanks to that. I´m deep in the depths of Alma right now in my Book of Mormon studies, this will be the 5th time reading it on the mission. I love the Book of Mormon and don´t know where I would be without it! Alma taught the poor that when our trials and unwanted circumstances test our faith; if we can only work up just enough faith to desire to believe in the Savior and his redeeming power, we can nourish that desire to a point that it will let us more fully trust in God´s words through his prophets, the obedience of which will bring us happiness, peace, and salvation. I know that this is true. ¨But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words.¨ Alma 32:27 Elder Hollingsworth

Hello everyone happy Monday.
This week was very busy with a huge leadership conference in Comodoro and preparing for two baptisms in the zone. Leo baptized his wife on Saturday!!! I am so grateful I got to be there to see that after all the time that we had with Elder Ekblad getting to know them and teaching them about the Gospel. All we really did was help them recognize the Spirit and they taught themselves! Saturday was a very emotional day for us and them. Beto in our area is getting baptized on Saturday, along with two others from the zone. The ward is starting to want to help us more and more. With the new changes to goal making and verification that have been made in the mission, I think in a couple months from now the number of new converts will be sufficiently higher. President was talking about the change that we have made as a mission, and that we should all feel apart of that change and the blessings that have and will come because of it. I am super proud of us, and I have learned so much through the hard work we have done. I love my Savior and I am always praying and thinking about all of you. Alma 29:14 But I do not joy in my own success alone, but my joy is more full because of the success of my brethren, who have been up to the land of Nephi. Alberto came to church yesterday! This guy is a stud and super prepared to be baptized. We are stoked for him. Lots of miracles here in our area and the zone and I am loving the mission.
Elder Ekblad came to do divisions and just so happens Leo and Carla our investigator from before got married on Friday! Carla gets baptized this Saturday and Leo received the Priesthood yesterday to baptize her! We went to their reception at the church then we attended the church meetings in our old ward. Not to mention a killer lunch with los Antipan. That´s pretty much it, we are going to keep working hard as always. I appreciate all the prayers and support. It is felt on this end! Elder Hollingsworth This week was a good time. We witnessed a ton of miracles and we worked super hard as a companionship and a zone. It was pretty hot most days and it makes things interesting.
We were trying super hard this week to get together with an old investigator and help this guy get on the right path again. He finally moved out of his dads house and broke up with his girlfriend, so we were thinking it was probably the time, and not to mention we ran into him every day for like three days straight. So we find out where he is staying and long story short, he lives with his friend who in reality is living with his grandpa. Alberto is the grandpa and we meet this guy and start teaching him. Right off the bat we figure out he`s gone through some nasty stuff with his family and needs a lot of help. He accepted a baptismal date for later this month and we taught him a few other times during the week. We had a really cool lesson with him and Hermana Pacheco who came with us and they shared similar experiences which was cool. Then yesterday after calling a bunch of members to help us get this guy to church in the morning, the only one who answered was the quorum president. Turns out this hermano is a friend of Alberto from like 20 years of working in the same factory, and he knew a bunch of other people in the ward as well. I`m pretty sure we are the best zone in the mission haha no but we are doing really well and I´m really proud of the obedience and diligence everyone has committed to. Elder Romney is now in the zone in my old area so headed to hang out with that guy today, I´m stoked. This work is the Lord`s. There is no other way we would be able to do what we are doing here. ¨Now this work in which we are engaged is true. And the doctrines which we proclaim are God’s eternal truth. And as the Lord lives, they will endure in time and in eternity. He has placed us here in a mortal circumstance and commanded us to seek him and to strive to be like him. He has given us an abundant amount of revealed truth in the holy scriptures. They are before us; they are available to each of us on the same basis.¨ Bruce R.
